Sverin was once king of the Silver Isles, mate of Elena, and father to Kjorn. He is also known as the Red King[1], the War King[2], the Red Scourge, and King of Thieves[3].

Description[]
Sverin was described being the largest of the Silver Isles pride. He had black talons, along with copper lion haunches, scarlet shoulders, a deep crimson face[4], and golden eyes from the line of En[5]. He was once decorated with all sorts of dragon gold before he was dethroned.

The Salmon Run[]
Sverin doesn’t appear but he is indirectly mentioned by Embra when she calls Rashard a Tyrant for refusing to let her participate in the Salmon Run. After Rashard scoffs Astri’s concerns about the potential threat of predators, Astri criticizes Shard’s perceived under-protectiveness by saying that the pride was better off with Sverin even if he was tyrannical. After Dagr encourages Shard to be more honesst with his daughter, Shard mentally notes how he omitted Sverin’s Tyranny from Embra. After some consideration Shard realizes that Embra is ready to know about the hardships of the past.
